Yeah man, I use Guitar Rig 4, Addictive Drums (drum midi), and Sonar to record track and mixe song. Torrent, Google them, these are all donwloadable on the web. And the best way to make a really heavy guitar, is to start with some metal preset in the guitar rig bank, and work it to make it sound like you want. After that I always have a least 3 or 4 track of guitar. 1 guitar pan 100% left, 1 guitar pan 100% right, and the 2 others that goes 45 % left and right, or just one in the middle. With those track record the same riff to emplify the sound, never copy it, thats gonna sound weird. And you can have a rythme guitar on 2 track and a lead one in 2 others track, or just 3 track of rythme, at that point its up to you. Thats it ! Good luck ! Cheer !
