[Desert Squad 3D]

As I started the game, I didn't know what I expected but it was better than this that's for sure ...

This game is Doom but slower, with a smaller map, and a total of ~20 frames of animation for the entire game

The character you control is slower than a tortoise, but I guess I'll be that slow too with about 167 magazines filled with 7.62 rounds ... Wich makes a total of 47.5 kg / 105 pounds of bullets on me ...

Ripping off Ghost from the Call of Duty franchise is a bad idea, 'nuff said.

the game is, ugly, poor and I believe not even tested before posting.

Using low resolutions pictures for both the background and the bad-guys while having an actual zooming scope is a bad idea since it throws the pixely nonesense straight up to the players' eyes.

Then the game does not provide any challenge whatsoever, the "enemies" are nothing but pixelated targets to practice, not even firing back ; some of them are not even doing anything and they all look the same.

Then here comes I've beaten the first level of this game, where's the"next" button ? Oh, it's the tiny thing strategically placed behind the sponsor link ... What a dick move ! But then comes the following levels, and the deeper I go into the game, the worse the game gets. Because enemies starts to pop behind the kill counter and even one had the same strategy as the "next" button, hiding behind the sponsor link... The best was still when I've beaten the game itself, the "congratulations" message goes out of the game space...

This game might beworth half a star but the fact that I spent more time commenting this game than even playing it made me think otherwhise ...

P.-S. :By the way, I have no idea why is the title in French but 'KAY DEN ...

I believe this game is not to be posted here, it was released 3 years ago by FlyAnvil on their website, if they wanted to release this game on Newgrounds, they would do it through their true account ( flyanvil.newgrounds.com/ ).

So as long as I don't have any evidence about this flash being posted with the author's permission, I'll consider it as stolen.

[Zombies Ate My Motherland]

I kind of enjoyed the "zombies ate my neighbors" reference but that's about it ; I was expecting much better from this game.
The graphics are not as bad as the animations but they feel pretty bad, THE very thing that I dislike about the graphics is not its quality (nor the lack of it) but for Carlos Rey Norris's sake why is Stalin in an "Heil Hitler" stance in the background !? was it so hard to look for the statue on google to make it look abit like the original ?!
The gameplay is basic not to say poor, just have to move left and right shooting everything in sight ; speaking of wich, is glitched out once you reach either end of the garden, preventing you from aiming properly at your enemies comming from behind you. the first upgrades are so ridiculously cheap compared to the last gun to unlock that it forces your progress to a really long pause.
The controls are horrible and that's probably the worse about this game, already said that aiming is glitchy, you can't shoot if the radar is in front of the cursor, each time I throw a grenade; my weapon turns into the latest gun of the game during a split second.

But it somehow made me play it for about 25 minutes, and I almost enjoyed it...

By the way, for all the people with AZERTY keyboards using Windows, there are a few tricks that should help you having decent controls (it helped me alot, but the game is still as hard ...!). Just need to press Alt+Shift, that should do it !

If not, there should be a small button on the ... I guess it's called the "task bar" ? (the thing on the bottom of the screen) Anyway, there should be a small button down there next to the clock saying what language your keyboard is curently using (FR for instance), click on it and then click on English (USA) or something like that, then click back on the game. VOILA ! Justcheck the button again to see if it did not turn back to the previous language ...!

If none of these option works, I think you'll need to open the settings window and then look for the language settings then you should click on the language tab and change something like "input language", from there, you should be able to change what languages your compute uses. I'm quite unsure 'bout this, but should help !

This game is pretty good, but there are a few cons to this game :

First is the fact that shooting zombies are most likely to stay out of screen since they only move when the player is out of range...

Second is the possibility to push zombies inside the buildings with the katana, then they are out of range since you can't attack them, you just have to wait for the zombies to go through the "wall" just as if there were none...

Third is that I've unlocked all the medal (even the game says so) But I still miss 2 Newgrounds medal, the irony makes it that I've beaten the game on hard mode, but I have not beaten the game...

Fourth is when some glitch is causing the projectiles to go through some zombies...

And the last one (wich is almost nothing but still) is that bulletproof vest are made of Kevlar, cevlar does not exist...

But hey, this game was really fun still (somehow abit too short though, I had all the medals in less than an hour), and I really enjoyed the Doom reference with the BFG thing. This game has quite some potential as a time killer !

Ireally enjoyed the game overall, but I think that there should be a grab button next to the arrow keys, since the game requires both keyboard and mouse and since I can't use WASD because I have a AZERTY (french) keyboard, I have no choice but to use the arrow keys...

Oh, and that's a dirty move to make the 8 looking like a 0 ...

Not bad, but I would have prefered for the blue bar to actually play the notes once it gets over the blocks, because on my old computer, the sound is over and yet the blue bar is still inthe middle of he shape.
